Dr. Hemant K. Patel
Bochasan Gujarat State, India, served as birthplace for Dr. Patel. Having spent his childhood in Kenya, he came to the United States in 1974. He graduated from Louisiana College and completed graduate studies at St. George University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. His residency in Internal Medicine was completed at James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, and he served as chief resident at East Tennessee State University in Kingsport. While at Johnson City, Dr. Patel completed fellowships in Medical Oncology and Research. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology and has been a co-investigator in numerous clinical trials and studies. He has been at Northwest Alabama Cancer Center since 1990. Dr. Patel is married to Clare and has two children. His hobbies are stamp collecting, music, and antiques, especially clocks.
